- Experts, such as those in cosmetics and skin care companies have identified a growing list of ‘active’ ingredients that can impact skin health. The genetic era now opens up the possibility to utilise our deeper understanding of genetics in a customised way.
- There are variations in our genes that affect how we all individually respond to an active ingredient. For example an ingredient that is reported to be highly beneficial could have no effect if the customer’s gene variation has no or little functionality.
